Dr. Massimo Gianfermi is a leading specialist in the field of cosmetic surgery and eyebrow lift.
It acts on the frontal muscle balance by decreasing the action of the lowering muscles of the eyebrow. More simply, botulinum toxin raises the eyebrow. Nevertheless, the product does not work on everyone. Take the test: raise your eyebrows. If this movement causes the tail of the eyebrow to rise, then the injection is for you! Otherwise, turn to one of the solutions below.
Results appear within one to two weeks and last 4 to 6 months
This is the solution that Dr. Gianfermi proposes when he diagnoses, in addition to the sagging eyebrow, very hollow temples (common on narrow faces that have become emaciated over time).
In this case, a hyaluronic acid injection directly into the temples allows the skin to be tightened and the tail of the eyebrow to be lifted slightly.
The technique of the non-surgical facelift using suspension sutures, also known as notched sutures or permanent tensor sutures, is noninvasive, reversible and requires no heavy anesthesia. While absorbable sutures provide a suitable result for the younger patient, who at this age experiences only limited and localized sagging, the permanent tensor thread lift provides unparalleled effectiveness and durability of results.
It offers an observed rejuvenation of 5 to 8 years in appearance.
An eyebrow lift may be indicated for people with eyebrow ptosis.
Depending on the position and relief of the anatomical structures that make up the periorbital region, the procedure may be combined with an upper blepharoplasty, lipofilling and/or injections of botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid.
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis (entry a few hours before and exit a few hours after the surgery).
The anesthesia can be either local pure or local potentiated (the anesthesiologists then administer relaxing drugs to improve the patient’s comfort).
The scar is discreet because it is located at the hairy area-non-hairy area junction just above the eyebrow.
At the end of the procedure no dressing is necessary and ointment is applied to the scar.
The postoperative period is simple, not painful, but marked by a sensation of skin tension.
There may be bruising during the first few days and edema during the first month (it is recommended to keep the head slightly elevated and to ice during this period).
Scar care is to be done by the patient (washing the scar twice a day with a mild soap, ointment on the scar until the stitches are removed around the 10th postoperative day).
It is advisable to massage the scars as soon as the stitches are removed in order to soften them and make them as inconspicuous as possible.
The scar must be protected from the sun (sunscreen and/or sunglasses) for 1 year.
Brow lift complications are rare, but should be cited:
